Recently, Earth Links friend and videographer Ed Schehl visited another friend of Earth Links, Jerry Riverstone (author of Living in the Land of Our Ancestors) and captured this intriguing hour-long interview about how the Rama Nation (on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua) was mapped (you can read more about it here). Jerry is a geographer specializing in political ecology, indigenous land rights, and nature conservancy. In this interview, Jerry explains his involvement in the late 90s and early 2000s with the participatory mapping project of the Rama nation, and the importance of that mapping. The interview is divided into three parts. Earth Links is proud to have helped Jerry and Ed, both in the original mapping project and this inspiring video.
